Human Resource Director, Environment
This competition will be used to consider candidates for a Human Resource Director position within the Department of Environment. In addition, candidates certified through this competition will be added to the Yukon government Human Resource Director registry at various levels (MG05-MG03).
Director, Human Resources (MG3) - $121,970 to $170,018 per annum
Director, Human Resources (MG4) - $113,411 to $158,087 per annum
Director, Human Resources (MG5) - $104,853 to $146,158 per annum
Certified candidates will be placed on the registry for a minimum of one year. The registry may be used when filling permanent and term Human Resource Director positions throughout Yukon government.

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for providing leadership in the planning, development and delivery of a full range of integrated human resources services and programming, in line with our organization’s goals and values.
We require a motivated, dynamic and client-focused individual to provide strategic leadership to the department and its highly engaged professional human resources team. The ideal candidate will be an innovative leader with a track record for adding value to the organization, building and fostering relationships, investing in collaborative problem-solving, and modeling a commitment to innovation, partnering and service to the organization.
Essential qualifications
Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet each of the following qualifications. Please note, selection for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.
- Post-secondary education in human resources or other related discipline combined with a demonstrated understanding of human resource principles
- Senior level experience leading across an organization; including directing the implementation and execution of human resource principles, policies and frameworks
- Considerable experience providing strategic advice, direction and recommendations to senior management and decision makers
- Considerable experience managing staff including a demonstrated ability to build capacity and relationships
Candidates who have a combination of education and experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may also be considered.
