About the branch:
Finance, Systems and Administration is a corporate branch within the department that provides senior management with direction, guidance and support services in the management and operation of financial and information systems and related administrative processes to ensure that resources are utilized effectively and efficiently in a coordinated manner.
About the job:
The Business Analyst is responsible for assisting program areas in business process improvements, defining requirements, and developing procurement-related documents for the acquisition of information systems for the Department of Community Services. The Business Analyst interacts with stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand their business problems and needs. The incumbent will be service-oriented in providing research and support to the various branches within the department and corporations to achieve efficient delivery of programs and effective administration of service portfolios within a collaborative team environment. This position will work collaboratively with Project Managers, Functional Analysts, Network Administrators and Systems Administrators.

Essential Qualifications:

• Degree or diploma in Business Administration, Computer Science/Management or a relevant program of study.
• Significant and wide-ranging experience in systems analysis, design, and application development work.
• Experience working with stakeholders and gathering business requirements.
• Experience with System Testing Concepts and creating technical level documentation.
• Experience providing exceptional customer service;
• Experience with IT Project Management and leading technical teams.
• Familiarity with Agile system development methodologies and techniques would be an asset
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the above qualifications may be equally considered.
