The Property Assessment and Taxation Branch provides all Yukon taxing authorities with property assessments, and levies taxes in accordance with the general property tax rates, as established by Yukon Government property taxation authority for all areas outside municipalities. The branch administers several funding programs for rural and municipal property owners, including the Domestic Water Well Program and the Rural Electrification and Telecommunications Program and the Better Buildings program.

Additional Information:
Conditions of Employment: Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
Job Requirements: Willing to travel throughout the territory conducting on-site inspections.
Essential Qualifications:

- Coursework in Property Assessment/Appraisal or undergraduate degree in Statistics, Public Administration, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Urban Geography, Land Planning or other related field would be preferred
- Experience interpreting legislation and regulations
- Experience analyzing problems, identifying solutions and independently making decisions
- Experience responding to public inquiries and complaints
- Experience working with real estate and/or building construction would be an asset
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the above qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
