Who we are
The Yukon Home Care Program provides client-focused health services in the home, improving quality of life and supporting Yukoners to live independently. Home Care offers a range of services tailored to meet individual needs, including support for acute care, chronic and palliative conditions. These services are determined through standardized assessments to assist in creating individualized plans of care; and are supported by an interdisciplinary team, consisting of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Registered Nurses and Home Support Workers.
As an essential member of the team, the Home Support Worker delivers home care services to clients of the Yukon Home Care Program, supporting their daily living activities and promoting their independence and overall quality of life.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Passion for providing care for chronically ill or elderly client.
- Ability to respect confidentiality
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team

Conditions of employment
You must meet the following conditions before being hired, or within the time frame noted.
- TB Screening
- Vulnerable Sector RCMP Security clearance
- CPR level C (within last 18 months)
- Food Safe (within last 2 years)
- WHMIS 2015
- Valid Yukon class 5 driver’s licence
Job requirements
This job requires you to perform, and/or be exposed to, the following:
- Exposure to pets, second-hand smoke
- Shift work and weekends
- Heavy lifting and bending.
- Travel during inclement weather conditions may be required.
