Who we are
Population and Public Health, Evidence and Evaluation (PPHEE) team is part of the Innovation, Quality and Performance division and brings together a strong and coordinated team skilled at using data and local evidence collaboratively to support population-level policy and decision making with the goal of improving the health and wellbeing of all Yukoners.
Your impact
This position is responsible for developing, coordinating, leading, and implementing population level environmental health projects and actions for the Department of Health and Social Services (HSS) in partnership with the Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health. This includes monitoring, analyzing and interpreting environmental health related data and information, and preparing or overseeing the preparation of reports for diverse audiences.
This position is the primary link to other departments, other governments, and non-governmental agencies concerned with the collection, use, and analysis of data collected on or about environmental health in Yukon. This position also coordinates departmental input into Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Act (YESAA) proposal reviews, in collaboration with selected department representatives.

Essential qualifications
Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the qualifications below. Selections for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume; ensure you use a month/year to month/year format and include the duties you performed in each of your positions.
- Graduate degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, or other related discipline.
- Applied technical knowledge, skills and experience in quantitative and qualitative research methodology and data analysis.
- Experience working with environmental population health indicators which includes the planning, development, monitoring, analysis, and reporting on related outcomes.
- Experience with the YESAA process and reviewing YESAA proposals from a health and social services lens, is an asset.
- Experience working in a government environmental health setting is also an asset.
