Your role
Reporting to the Manager, Operations, this position designs and coordinates the management and technical support of Local Area Network (LAN) systems, all computer, and video-conferencing for the department. Further, the Network Systems Administrator acts as the second level of technical support for the department’s health information systems and third party applications, as well as performs systems and user administration functions for the department. In this role you will participate in the planning, development, analysis, evaluation, implementation, and management of the information system needs of departmental branches. Network System Administrators maintains current industry knowledge and proactively recommend services, as well as provide field related research and systems related support to departmental operations and projects.
To be successful in this position, you would have experience in planning, managing and providing technical support to a Local Area Network, considerable experience in supporting an Information Systems environment and infrastructure, specifically network administration, Windows Services, Windows 11 professional desktops, local and wide area networks. There must also be a willingness to take, department provided, technical training as needed. Experience with Active Directory, SCCM, Group Policy Objects and Window Server Environments would be an asset.

Essential qualifications
Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the qualifications below. Selections for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.
- Post secondary diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- Experience in planning, managing and providing technical support to a Local Area Network
- Considerable experience in supporting an Information Systems environment and infrastructure, specifically network administration, Active Directory, Windows OS and MS Server OS
- Experience supporting virtual server and desktop environments
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above will be considered equally

Conditions of employment

Job requirements
This job requires you to perform, and/or be exposed to, the following:
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly within the Territory by both ground and air.
- This position may be required to work overtime on occasion to service and upgrade equipment without disrupting normal working environment for departmental staff.
- Available for stand-by during off-duty hours based on a rotational schedule
