The opportunity…
The Learning & Development Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and administering both in-person and online learning events. This includes managing courses, tracking participation, promoting programs, contributing to course catalogue planning, supporting financial administration, and assisting with content design, development, and delivery.
The role also involves using the corporate Learning Management System (LMS) to support the delivery and tracking of learning activities. The Coordinator provides guidance to Yukon Government departments on LMS functionality to ensure effective and consistent use, troubleshoots technical issues, and facilitates Course Manager Training. In addition, the Coordinator supports the daily operations of the Learning and Development Centre within the Organizational Development Branch. This includes maintaining supplies and equipment, managing systems, and delivering responsive, high-quality client service.

Essential Qualifications

- Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline such as adult education, human resources, communications, business administration, or a related field (equivalencies may be considered);
- Experience coordinating and supporting the delivery of learning or training programs, including logistics, scheduling, and promotional activities;
- Experience managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment;
- Experience providing client service to a diverse range of stakeholders, including responding to inquiries, assessing needs, and offering guidance; and
- Experience using and supporting learning management systems or similar platforms, including troubleshooting technical issues and contributing to training development and facilitation.
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
