This opportunity…
Reporting to the Area Superintendent, this position is responsible for directing employees to use specific equipment to repair, construct and maintain roads, buildings, equipment, etc. to an established standard. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, enjoys working outdoors and operating various pieces of heavy equipment to ensure safe driving conditions for the travelling public.

Essential Qualifications (what we’re looking for in your resume):

- Considerable experience supervising staff in remote environments
- Considerable experience operating a variety of heavy equipment (must include loader, grader, truck) in extreme weather and heavy snow conditions
- Considerable experience with highway maintenance and/or road construction
- Computer skills with Word, Excel, Outlook etc.

Conditions of Employment
- class 1 driver’s licence with air endorsement (with no restrictions to operate manual transmission)
- YG certification on heavy equipment (grader, loader, and tractor trailer)
- Transportation Dangerous Goods Certificate (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
Job Requirements
- Travel,
- Working in adverse weather conditions,
- Mandatory use of personal protective equipment,
- Adhering to the safety program and all applicable policies and procedures,
- Shift work,
- Working outside of the headquarters area for extended periods of time.
