This is for 1 (one) full-time permanent position working 75 hours bi-weekly.

The Assessment and Abandoned Mines (AAM) Branch of EMR leads and directs the management and remediation of abandoned mines in the Yukon. Effectively delivering this service to the people of the Yukon requires commitment to the highest levels of professionalism. Our work is focused on environmental protection, health and safety, effective project delivery and sound financial planning.
Our Project Managers are responsible for leading and delivering a variety of projects on remote abandoned mine sites where protection of receiving waters is of vital importance. We are looking for a highly motivated and committed individual who has proven experience in project management and the ability to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Collaboration within our multidisciplinary team is critical to our success and therefore the ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Essential Qualifications

- Degree in engineering, science, environmental science, or a related field;
- Experience overseeing projects including work planning, scheduling, and review of deliverables;
- Experience building partnerships within and outside your organization;
- Experience implementing water quality regulations and water qualify monitoring programs; and
- Experience in implementing projects on active or abandoned mine sites or sites with similar technical challenges would be an asset.
Candidates who have a combination of education, training and experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
