The Schools branch is responsible for the implementation and development of various school and educational programs throughout the Yukon. This position acts as the central point of contact between the Department of Education and Yukon School Councils and related associations. This role is responsible for developing and supporting strong working relationships with these groups in order to build effective educational partnerships in Yukon school communities.

Essential Qualifications
- Post-Secondary coursework in public administration, dispute resolution or a related program;
- Experience working with and leading stakeholders with varying agendas, providing support and handling sensitive issues;
- Considerable experience interpreting and applying legislation, policies and procedures;
- Experience with leading and managing projects from inception to completion; and
- Experience providing financial and administrative support.
- Considerable experience working in a school environment will be considered an asset.
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

Conditions of Employment:
- Security Clearance
- Valid Class 5 license
Job Requirements:
- This position works onsite in an office environment
- Frequent travel in Whitehorse and across the territory
- Frequent evening and weekend meetings
- Currently a notary public or willingness to obtain within 2 months of employment
