We are currently seeking a talented individual to lead the Finance branch. This position provides leadership and direction on the development, implementation, and operation of financial management, procurement, and risk management for the Department. This position provides senior level support and assistance to the Deputy Minister, participates in preparing the Deputy Minister and Minister for business in the Legislature, briefing notes, and budget speeches.
The Director ensures the operation of the Finance branch is efficient and effective in implementing the departmental financial management policies and plans to ensure delivery of quality support and services. They lead and develop strategies for the negotiation of agreements and directs the procurement functions of the department.

Essential Qualifications
- Completion of a post-secondary program with a focus in finance, or accounting;
- Significant experience in a senior financial role in a large complex organization;
- Experience developing, leading, and managing employees; and,
- Experience leading funding negotiations.
- A Chartered Accountant (CA) designation is considered an asset.
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
